25 | On 10/06/26, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. LPA met with licensee Esther Jimenez who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 4 children present in the back yard engaged in water play-1 being infant supervised by the licensee’s assistant. According to the licensee, there are 7 children enrolled; however, their schedules vary. Operation hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. LPA conducted the inspection in Spanish.
This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, den (day care room), laundry room, front yard, back yard (fenced), garage, and storage (converted into a room). Areas accessible to children include living room, dining room, kitchen, den, 1 bathroom, and back yard (fenced). Residing in the home are 3 adults and 2 minors. According to the licensee, there are birds inside a cage on the premises and kept off-limits.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. According to the licensee the living room, dining room, and kitchen are off-limits to children; however, parents drop-off and pick up children in the front of the home which is the living room. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are also located near the entrance/front of the home and is off-limits to children. Children walk through the living room, dining room, and kitchen to access the den. There are several steps leading to the den and a well mounted child proof gate that makes the off-limits area inaccessible to children. LPA toured the den and observed age-appropriate toys, materials, and equipment for children. A barricaded fireplace was observed in the den. Children use cots as napping equipment and a changing table was observed as well against the wall.
