On 8/31/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Devon Carus conducted a subsequent visit regarding the above-mentioned allegations to deliver the findings. Upon arrival, LPA met with Marisa Mabini, Director. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA observed 0 children in care.


On 03/19/2026, El Segundo Child Care Regional Office received a complaint regarding the following allegation: Adult engaged in inappropriate behavior with day care child. This case was referred to the Department’s Investigations Branch to conduct the investigation based on the allegation.

On 03/25/2026, Investigator Edward Hector conducted the 10-day visit to the facility and spoke to facility administrator, Marissa Mabini. Investigator Hector issued a 10-Day Complaint Notification to Ms. Mabini. Investigator Hector conducted staff interviews and reviewed files pertinent to the investigation.

On March 27, 2026, the case was reassigned to Investigator Veronica Padilla.

Investigator Veronica Padilla conducted a full investigation regarding the alleged allegation. Investigation included several interviews with pertinent parties, viewed video footage, collection and review of data and documentation and participated in a forensic interview. This investigation was completed on 7/17/2026.

Based on evidence collected during the investigation, the allegation of adult engaged in inappropriate behavior with day care child is determined to be unsubstantiated. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur.

NO VIOLATIONS WERE CITED

Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report was provided. Appeal rights were reviewed and provided.
