32 | Allegation #2- the infant children are handled by the staff daily while providing care, but there were no staff that handled or witnessed other staff handling the day care children in a rough manner. Allegation #3- an infant sustained a bruise due to staff neglect or physical abuse. When the children have injuries, the staff provide aid to the children, and the parents are notified of the injury the same day with a telephone call and an incident report. There was not enough evidence to corroborate when the injury occurred, the staff was abusive or neglectful to the infant. Allegation #4- the infants’ clothes are changed when they come from the playground, after eating, if they spit up, or as needed, and the evidence received was reviewed and it did not corroborate whether the infants are always not clean. Allegation #5- the infant sustained a bite due to staff neglect. The infants inside the classroom bite other children or are bitten as a way of communication for their age group. There is not enough evidence to corroborate the bite the infant sustained was due to staff neglect. Allegation #6- the staff do not ensure infants’ diapering needs are met; the staff and parents communicate daily on an Infant Daily Report form that is completed each morning and throughout the day for feeding, napping, and diapering. The form is also used to communicate with the parents if items are needed like diapers, wipes, clothes, or creams and there is not enough evidence to corroborate the allegation. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the six allegations mentioned above are Unsubstantiated.
There are no deficiencies cited during this inspection.
