25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elka Chavez conducted an unannounced case management inspection to follow up on an incident that was reported to the Department on 03/02/2022. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Giovanna Curren who provided LPA a tour of the facility. Census was taken.
On 03/02/2022, an incident was reported to the department where a child fell onto a plastic playhouse and bumped their head. The child got a “goose egg” above the left eyebrow as a result of bumping their head on the plastic playhouse. The facility reported this incident to the Department within the required 24 hours. During this inspection LPA interviewed staff who were present during the incident. LPA observed the area to be clean, free of hazards and appearing to be in safe good condition. LPA also observed the play equipment to be age appropriate. LPA also observed foam material matts in the play area. Based on the information obtained and LPA observation of the play area, LPA determined there was adequate supervision provided the day of the incident.
Per California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12, no deficiency cited during today's visit.
Exit interview conducted with licensee, Giovanna Curren.
