25 | On 9/14/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carreiro, conducted an onsite inspection for the purpose of an Annual/Randon Inspection. LPA was led on a tour by licensee Bernabe Karina. The overall census observed was 8 children and the licensee. During the inspection, it was determined the facility is operating within its licensed capacity as specified on the license. Facility hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm.
The Facility Personnel Report Summary reviewed on this date 9/14/2026 indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
During today’s inspection, LPA and licensee toured the inside and outside of the facility. Off limits areas are made inaccessible by means of door knob covers and child gates. There is a baby gate in front of the stairs for the second floor of the house. There is a fireplace in the living room and it is inaccessible to children in care. The licensee has designated the living room, family room, one bathroom, dining room, and back yard, as part of the day-care on the first floor. There were working carbon monoxide, smoke detector, and fire extinguishers in the home that meet statutory requirements. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored inaccessible to children. There were no poisons or other items observed which could pose a danger to children. If they were observed, they were locked or inaccessible.
