A review of the Facility Report Summary on this date indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. During today’s inspection the facility was operating within its licensed capacity and within compliance of staffing ratios.

On 06/09/2026, the Orange County Child Care Office received a complaint. As part of the investigation, the LPA conducted unannounced inspections on 07/16/2026 and 08/06/2026. The LPA completed classroom observations in Room 3 and Room 4, as well as observations during playground time.

The LPA obtained and reviewed the Kiddie Academy Child Care Facility Roster, Kiddie Academy Personnel Report, and the Kiddie Academy Staff Supervision Policy. The LPA also reviewed live video footage dated June 10,2026. In addition, the LPA conducted interviews with nine staff members (S1–S9). The LPA attempted to interview three children; however, all three children did not qualify to be interviewed.

During unannounced inspections on 07/16/2026 and 08/06/2026, the LPA verified that live cameras in the facility and classrooms were active. Throughout the tour of the classrooms and playground, the LPA observed staff consistently engaged with children, demonstrating calm, intentional interactions and providing individualized support aligned with the needs of each child.

Regarding the allegation that staff forced a daycare child to sleep, the LPA conducted interviews with 9 (nine) of 9 (nine) staff members (S1–S9). All staff consistently stated they have never observed any staff member forcing a child to sleep. Staff reported that children transition to nap time after lunch and that staff provide individualized support as needed, including sitting near a child, use gentle reminders it is time to rest their bodies, or gently patting the child’s back to help them settle.
