On February 20, 2025 at 9:05 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jesse Gardner, made a case management inspection to ensure Licensee Brittany Peterson received the Legal Decision and Order effective 02/20/2025, for the revocation of the Family Child Care license. LPA conducted a tour of the facility, and found 5 day care children present during the visit.

LPA discussed the order that was stated to be served to the Licensee on February 10, 2025 to be effective on February 20, 2025 in reference to the revocation of the Licensee's day care license.

LPA explained the Decision and Order to Licensee Brittany Peterson and later issued a copy of the document. Licensee Peterson told LPA they understand the decision and order and will cease operation of their Family Child Care Home effective today, February 20, 2025 as a lifetime exclusion is in order. Licensee did not want LPA to review the document; thus, it was only provided per the Licensee's request.

It was also discussed with the Licensee that a copy of the Legal Decision and Order is to be provided to each parent and a LIC 9224 placed in children’s file confirming receipt of the document by the parent.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was reviewed with and provided to Licensee Brittany Peterson along with a copy of the Legal Decision and Order.
