25 | Due to lead testing requirements, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Aman Lama conducted a Case Management(CM) inspection based on lead testing results received by the facility. LPA toured the facility, took census, and met with facility representative, Cynthia Cervantes to discuss lead testing results and measures taken for remediation of lead exceedances.
During the inspection, LPA toured and took photos of the following water outlets identified with lead exceedances: Outlet C, which registered 13.0ppb in September 2026; Outlet D, which registered 6.8ppb, also in September 2026. The facility representative stated they have remediated the lead in the water, however, have not been able to re-test for new results due to waiting on the water board.
LPA observed 2 water outlets, which are located in the outdoor play area. Additionally, LPA observed disposable plastic cups with water jugs in the classroom. The uncontaminated drinking water is from a water service from vendor- Sparkletts.
Due to facility water outlets testing above approved lead levels, a deficiency has been cited. See LIC809-D.
The following resources were discussed and provided from PIN 21-21.1-CCP, which includes information on: 101700.6 Grant Funding for Qualifying Child care Centers and instructions for remediation.
An exit interview was conducted, and appeal rights discussed.
LPA provided facility representative, Cynthia Cervantes with a copy of this report, appeal rights and notice of site visit.
This report must be made available to the public upon request for three years.
