25 | On 03/24/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kuliema Calloway and Justeene Tamayo met with Licensee Heather Yarber to conduct a Case Management health and safety welfare check inspection. Upon arrival, LPAs observed one infant, 1 school age, and five preschool children in care, one assistant, and the licensee. During this inspection, LPAs observed an in-ground pool in the rear yard that does not meet Title 22 Regulations. LPAs informed the licensee the pool in the rear yard shall be inaccessible to children by having a pool cover or by surrounding the pool with a fence at least five feet high and shall be constructed so that the fence does not obscure the pool from view. The pool gates shall swing away from the pool, self-close, and have a self-latching device located no more than six inches from the top of the gate.
Licensee provided LPAs with a Property Owners Statement of New Construction form (ASSR 005) from the Assessor-Recorder- County Clerk, a declaration stating she will maintain the batteries inside the alarm attached on sliding glass door from the kitchen and the alarm will stay activated during day care hours. LPA's conducted interviews with children in care.
The licensee is being cited a Type A citation for the Operation of a Family Child Care Home and Type B for Alterations to Existing Buildings or Grounds.
