13 | The unannounced facility inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst, Carrie Wisehart. It was alleged that the licensee no longer resides at the home.
LPA met with Wes Arvig and discussed the allegations. The staff gave the LPA a facility tour and interviews were conducted. The interviews confirmed that the license has not resided at the home for several months and currently is out of state. The terms of a family child care home includes that the licensee lives on site, therefore, the license becomes void when the licensee moves out. The LPA discussed the difference between exempt care and licensed care with Wes Arvig who indicated he understood.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated.
The following violation(s) of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22; Division 12, were observed: see LIC 809D. Appeal Rights were provided. Reports citing Type A violations are to be provided to parents/guardians of children currently in enrolled and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months. Parents/guardians must sign Form LIC9224 to be kept in each child's file.
