Records held from Sep 27, 2021 onward. Earlier visits may exist in the agency’s own files.

Delaware publishes only visits where a regulation was cited, plus complaint investigations. Visits that found no violations do not appear in the state's data, so a gap between dates here does not mean the program went uninspected. Delaware does not publish a severity weight for its citations.

How to read violations

Nearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.

Paperwork — records, postings, forms Standard — supervision, ratio, training Health & safety — direct risk to a child

Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.

Substantiated complaint

“On September 8, 2023, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding hazards being present in the indoor and outdoor space, sanitation, inadequate space for movement, too many children being present, and an unknown youth present in the child care space. This complaint is substantiated for two unknown youth volunteers being present because the provider stated she was using youth volunteers who had not been approved by OCCL. The names and dates of birth for both youth volunteers have been provided to OCCL and approved. There is no evidence to substantiate hazards being present, sanitation, too many children being present, or inadequate space because the child care space was observed to be clean and free of hazards and did not smell of pet urine. The provider stated the wooden fence had needed some repairs. This had already been completed by the time of this visit. It was also observed that the child care was maintaining the correct staff-to-child ratios for the large family license. There were 10 children present with three staff members at the time of this visit.”
