Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A parent was not notified of a less serious injury at pickup on the day the injury occurred.”
“Two children were left unsupervised on the playground when the caregivers transitioned the class inside.”
“A caregiver failed to use good judgment when a child was placed in the bathroom to protect other children from the child's physical aggression.”
“Based on the evidence gathered during the DFPS investigation, it was determined that neglectful supervision was Reason to Believe.”
“A caregiver did not utilize good judgment when bringing an e-cigarette device into the classroom. The e-cigarette device slipped out of the caregivers' pocket and was made accessible to a child.”
“An e-cigarette device was made accessible and smoked by a child in a classroom.”
“A caregiver was present with children without an eligible background check. This was corrected at the inspection when the caregiver left the operation and the operation resubmitted their background check.”
“One caregiver did not know how many children were present in the classroom.”
“The operation had three epinephrine auto-injectors that were expired and they were all listed as part of the emergency allergy response plan for three children.”
“One caregiver did not complete their CPR class in-person with the use of a CPR manikin.”
