Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“There were no emergency phone numbers posted on the parent board.”
“No proof of a background check was in the personnel file.”
“The operation did not have a 2912 form, pre employement affidavit in the personnel file.”
“Air Conditioner Unit does not have a protective border placed around the outdoor unit that keeps children from having access to cooling equipment.”
“There was no annual Consumer Product Safety Sheet placed on the parent board.”
“During inspection, a household member acting as a substitute caregiver was observed supervising one child without primary caregiver being present. The household member is not a qualified substitute caregiver. This was corrected at inspection after primary caregiver arrived and took over the care of the children.”
“The operation did not practice a fire drill for the month of March 2023. This was corrected at inspection after a fire drill was practiced to make the operation become current. The children were able to safely exit the child care home within 3 minutes.”
“The operation failed to notify licensing of field trip services having been offered. This was corrected at inspection after primary caregiver informed she will no longer be doing field trips.”
“During inspection, some disinfecting and sanitizing aerosol cans were accessible to children. Photos taken. This was corrected at inspection after the containers were removed and placed in an area no longer accessible to children. Photos taken.”
“One infant still on formula who is transition to solid food did not have monthly feeding instructions. A monthly feeding instruction form was provided to permit holder.”
