Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“This standard was found to be out of compliance when the caregivers left a child outside for approximately 1 - 2 minutes.”
“This standard was found to be out of compliance. The parent was not notified immediately or six minutes later at pick up, that their child was left unsupervised. The parent was notified 41 minutes after staff became aware of the incident.”
“This standard was found to be out of compliance when caregivers left a child sleeping in the classroom alone for over 5 minutes.”
“This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance when the operation failed to communicate with the parent of a child, that a staff accidentally fell on the child.”
“This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance when an operation staff grabbed the back of a child's shirt with both hands at the back of the shoulders to lift and force the child to walk forward, causing the child to trip and fall and the staff to fall on the child.”
“This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance when caregivers left a child napping in the classroom for a time period of less than one minute.”
“Operation failed to notify licensing of a reportable communicable illness within the required timeframe.”
“The child care center's operational policies did not include the promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity.”
