Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The operation has 2 staff members who are present at the operation without a background check.”
“One caregiver was present at the operation without a background check ran. This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver left the operation and a background check was ran.”
“Previous training years for center personnel are not kept on record at the operation.”
“Antihistamine's needed for four children as required for their food allergy plan are not maintained at the operation.”
“During the inspection, two infants were observed using sleep sacks as blankets while sleeping in their cribs. The sleep sacks were not on the children. This was corrected at the inspection when the sleep sacks were removed from the cribs.”
“Two child with a severe allergy did not have an epi-pen or other medication on file. This standard was reviewed as part of a follow up on investigation number 3006890 and found to be in compliance as the operation has provided verbal counseling for staff involved.”
“Two staff were present at the operation without a cleared background check. This was corrected during the inspection when the caregivers were removed from the classrooms.”
“This standard was reviewed as part of an investigation and found non-compliant. It was discovered that two staff had a confrontation in the classroom while they had children in care.”
“This standard was evaluated in regard to an investigation and a violation was found. A caregiver consumed controlled substances during her lunch break and came back to the classroom. This caregiver was observed by the other caregivers to be under the influence of a controlled substance.”
“A caregiver was providing direct care to the children prior to submitting background check request. Another two caregivers were providing direct care to children with pending background check. The BGC request was submitted during the inspection and three caregivers left the operation.”
