Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A fire drill had not been done for the month of May. This was corrected during inspection when one a fire drill was done during inspection.”
“During a DFPS investigation, it was determined that a child in care was not able to nap and an alternate activity was not provided.”
“During a DFPS investigation, a child in care was able to exit and wandered away from the operation.”
“An infant was sleeping in a crib in a room not approved by licensing.”
“Primary caregiver was missing required annual training.”
“Two children's files did not have health statements.”
“A dog, who had access to children, did not have current vaccinations.”
“An employee did not have the required notarized affidavit on file.”
“A section explaining procedures for parents to visit the day care was missing from the operational polices.”
“A lockdown drill was not documented being done 4 times during the calendar year. This was corrected at inspection when one was done during inspection.”
“There was broken play equipment outside which had exposed sharp edges and pinch points. Photos were taken. This was corrected at inspection when the broken equipment/parts were thrown away/removed. Photos of corrections were taken.”
