Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the inspection, two of the staff members did not have all of the HASA training certificates available for review.”
“Two of the staff members had CPR certifications that lacked the in-person training component.”
“A child's cot was observed in front of the emergency exit of the classroom. *Note: This was corrected at inspection when the cot was moved away from the door.”
“During the walkthrough, a caregiver stated she had 18 cihldren in care, when there were actually 17 in class.”
“During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a caregiver did not demonstrate good judgement when taking photos of the children was prioritized over actively supervising them.”
“In two classrooms, caregivers did not know the correct number of children in their care when asked. One care giver said five instead of six and another said six not seven.”
“A caregiver whose background check was accidently deactivated was present in a classroom. This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver was removed from the operation.”
“A caregiver without an active background check was observed in a classroom caring for children. This was corrected when the caregiver left the operation.”
