Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The operation did not have proof of a current fire inspection.”
“One child's file was missing a health statement.”
“There was an opening in the corner of the playground area where a child could fit and be exposed to hazards.”
“Director was missing 18 hours of annual training.”
“Three staff were missing the required hours of annual training.”
“The play yards in the infant room did not have labels either with the infant's name or an alternative method of labeling that could be used as an infant assignment map.”
“There was a broken children's plastic chair in the outdoor play area. This chair had missing plastic in the sitting as well as backrest area. The chair had sharp exposed edges. This was corrected at inspection when the broken chair was removed.”
“The transportation vehicle did not have a first aid kit.”
“There was no soap or paper towels in the boys bathroom. This was corrected at inspection when the director suppled paper towels and soap in the bathroom.”
“The operation had an expired fire inspection.”
