Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Based on the information gathered during the investigation, there is sufficient evidence to determine that a caregiver struck a child on the face in an attempt to make the child take a nap.”
“A child in care with a diagnosed food allergy did not have the required food allergy emregency plan.”
“One out of 10 caregivers had on-line pediatric CPR, not practiced with a manikin.”
“Based on the DFPS investigation there is sufficient evidence to support a caregiver did not use good judgment when they forcefully pushed a child's head down into the nap cot.”
“The operational policies was missing the following: - Instructions on how parents can access the Texas Abuse and & Neglect Hot line and access to HHSC website.”
“2 out of 10 caregivers was missing the following HASA trainings: - Emergency Preparedness - Understanding Building & Physical Premises Safety”
“A disinfectant cleaner bottle was found in an unlocked bathroom cabinet that is used by children in care and was within reach of the children. This was corrected during the inspection when the bottle was moved to a locked cabinet.”
“During an investigation it was found a caregiver did not display good judgement when they pulled a child lying on a boppy pillow onto their lap which resulted in the child falling off.”
“During a walk-through of the childcare facility, two electrical outlets were exposed in a toddler classroom. Safety covers were immediately placed over the electrical outlets when addressed, bringing the facility into compliance.”
“It was determined through interviews, a caregiver had told a child, "your driving me crazy" and had yelled at children in care.”
“There were 2 caregivers that did not have in person CPR training.”
“It was determined a child was left unattended on the playground.”
“The operation allowed a person to be present in a classroom with direct contact with children at the operation before receiving notice from the CBCU regarding the person s eligibility. The operation immediately removed the person from the operation until eligibility has been determined.”
