Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the application inspection, the opertational policies were viewed and the following were missing: (20) Parent rights that are consistent with the rules in Division 5 of this subchapter (relating to Parent Rights) (24) Your emergency preparedness plan (25) Your provisions to provide a comfortable place with an adult sized seat in your center or within a classroom that enables a mother to breastfeed her child. In addition, your policies must inform parents that they have the right to breastfeed or provide breast milk for their child while in care (29) If your operation maintains and administers unassigned epinephrine auto- injectors to use when a child in care has an emergency anaphylaxis reaction, policies for maintenance, administration, and disposal of unassigned epinephrine auto-injectors that comply with the unassigned epinephrine auto- injector requirements set by the Texas Department of State Health Services, as specified in 25 TAC Chapter 40, Subchapter C (relating to Epinephrine Auto- Injector Policies in Youth Facilities) and in Texas Health and Safety Code ?773.0145.”
“After viewing children files, there was one child with a food allergy with no food allergy emergency plan signed by the physician.”
“A Review of the Employees Who Left Employment in 2024 data from January 22, 2025, revealed that the center had not reported the number of employees who left employment in 2024 by January 15, 2025, as required.”
“The Child Product Safety Certification is expired. This was corrected at inspection when the director reviewed the webite and certified form.”
“One of four children records evaluated did not have a signed health statement.”
