Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The primary caregiver did not have a current transportation training.”
“The wooden fence was observed with chipped paint and two loose panels.”
“There was no date for when the fire extinguisher was inspected. Corrected at inspection: Director added date of inspection.”
“The operation increased the licensed child care space by December 2022. Changes were completed prior to Child Care Regulation's approval.”
“Documentation of orientation for a volunteer was not available for review.”
“Current immunization record for one of the three child records reviewed was not available for review.”
“Immunization record for 1 out of 3 child files reviewed was not available for review.”
“A working carbon monoxide detector was not available at the operation.”
“Emergency practices documentation show fire drills were completed in over 3 minutes for the months of January, February, and March, 2022. NOTE: This was corrected. A fire drill in under 3 minutes was completed during inspection.”
“The front of a slide was overlapping use zones with a stationary equipment in the outdoor playground.”
“One crib observed in operation, a total of two infants in operation. CORRECTED at inspection when caregiver placed child in play pen and other child in crib.”
