Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“This deficiency is not related to investigation: Observed that there was not adequate lighting during nap time in a classroom.”
“Based on information gathered, facility failed to notify Child Care Regulation that a child was injured and required medical treatment by a health-care professional.”
“Facility has not received background check results for an individual that was present at the operation in a classroom.”
“Out of the children's files reviewed 1 was missing a health statement completed by the child's physician.”
“Out of all the children' s files reviewed, 2 had incomplete information for the person to contact in case of an emergency. (NOTE: Corrected during inspection by calling parents and filling in the missing information.)”
“There was a mop bucket with water right outside a classroom, in the hallway. This was accessible to any child who would pass by. NOTE: Corrected during inspection as the bucket was moved out of the hall)”
“None of the posted lesson plans/daily schedules had the month or date listed.”
“There was a pink tricycle out on the playground that had a broken basket which had sharp edges that could cut a child. (NOTE: Corrected during inspection as the toy was removed from the playground.)”
“The sign in/out logs are not being properly maintained as there were only 11 signed in and 24 were present.”
