Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“It was determined that the operation did not report a situation in which a may have been place at risk.”
“It was determined that two staff persons without a high school diploma were caring for children while being 17 years of age and not enrolled in a Child-Care Career Program.”
“It was determined that a non-qualified caregiver provided supervision for more than one classroom.”
“It was determined during the course of investigation that there are concerns with a staff person at the operation not utilizing positive guidance methods.”
“Required emergency contact information was not listed for 5/7 childrens files reviewed.”
“A staff person was missing 6 hours of annual training.”
“The promotion of physical activity within the operational policies did not include all requirements.”
“Proper supervision was not conducted when a caregiver was not aware that a child was on the playground unsupervised.”
“A caregiver did not use sound judgment when the operation's policies regarding transitions and name to face procedures were not conducted, resulting in a child being left unsupervised.”
“The operation did not have a copy of a court order in a child's file.”
“The operation did not have proof of a current health inspection or any document stating that a health inspection was not offered by their county.”
“The operation did not report the number of employees that left in 2023.”
“The operation's loose fill in use zones measure 1 inch or less.”
