Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the monitoring visit, the operation did not have the duration for outdoor play included in the parent handbook. The director updated the parent handbook and added the duration for outdoor time.”
“During the monitoring visit, the operation did not provide monthly documentation for the carbon monoxide detector. The last check dated was from 12/2025. The director checked the carbon monoxide detector during the visit.”
“One out eight staff did not have a current CPR certificate and first aid certificate.”
“This standard was evaluated regarding an investigation, and a violation was found. The caregiver walked toward the child in front of their parents, said the child was lying, and labeled the child as a liar. The caregiver used a loud tone, pointed fingers, and inappropriate words while speaking to the child in the hallway at the operation in front of parents, staff, and families entering and leaving the operation. This caregiver was terminated.”
“This standard was evaluated regarding an investigation, and a violation was found. The staff did not make a good judgment when accusing the child in front of others, as the staff said the child intentionally injured another student on the playground without checking what really happened. This caregiver was terminated.”
