Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Car maintenance chemicals were left in the kitchen area within the reach of children. The caregiver was able to remove the materials when prompted.”
“An infant was observed in a crib during naptime unattended with a bottle in the crib.”
“The emergency prepardness plan did not have information on the continuation of care for children who have been relocated or evacuated. This was corrected when the emergency plan was updated to include that information.”
“The outdoor A/C unit does not have a safe guard around it.”
“Near the outdoor exit, there was a wooden plank with nails pretruding out of it.”
“The assistant caregiver did not have the required training hours. The hire date for the caregiver is 8/2022.”
“There is no 3A 40BC fire extinguisher in the home. There is a 2A 10BC fire extinguisher.”
“Toxic materials such as eye solution, perioxide, cleaning supplies, and other toxic bathroom supplies were found to be accessible to children in the bathroom drawers and closet.”
“The assistant caregiver did not have pediatric first aid and CPR.”
“The provider was providing childcare for 13 children. The care being provided met the definition of regular care.”
