Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The paint color on the wall was peeling off in patches, in Toddler room which posed a hazard for the children in care. Corrected at inspection. There was a visible gap on the floor of the school-age room which could pose a hazard to the children in care.”
“The school-age room is being used by children under 5 years old. The electrical outlets in the room are not safeguarded. Note: The outlets were covered during the inspection.”
“There was a caregiver's purse accessible to children. Note: The owner fixed these citations during the inspection. The purse was removed. There are broken toys in the Pre-school classroom , many with sharp metal sticks protruding, that could be accessible to children in the daycare. Note: The caregiver removed the broken toys.”
“In the school-age room there is a missing tile on the floor. The door leading to the outside play area has water dripping from the top of the door from the inside of the building. The wall has chipping paint.”
“Two bottles of hand sanitizer were observed on a shelf within reach of children. Note: The caregiver removed the hand sanitizer and placed it out of the children?s reach during the inspection.”
“It was noted that the school's name and phone number were missing from one school-aged child's record. Note: During the inspection, the director obtains this information and enters it on the admission forms.”
