Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“An infant was alseep with a bottle next to them in the pack and play. This was corrected at inspection when it was addressed with the caregiver and the bottle was removed.”
“Staff records evaluated were lacking multiple required documents. Three out of four employee records were lacking the employment start date, pre-employment affidavit, a statement regarding orientation, a statement regarding personnel policies, a statement regarding operational policies. Two out of four were lacking documentation on how the employee meets the educational requirement.”
“Two employees present and left in charge of a classroom did not have pediatric first aid training.”
“Written feeding instructions were not completed for three infants.”
“An infant with the ability to hold their head up on their own did not have their hands washed with soap and water after diapering. A baby wipe was used instead. This was corrected at the inspection when it was addressed and the caregiver washed the infant's hands with soap and water.”
“Four employees present did not have current training in CPR that meets the minimum standards requirements. Three of these employees were left in charge of a classroom.”
“The operational policies were lacking the promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity section.”
