Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A thermometer was missing in the first aid kit.”
“A required 3A-40 BC fire extinguisher was not available during the inspection. The house does have a 2A-10BC fire extinguisher and this cannnot be accepted unless a written approval is obtained from the local fire marshal.”
“A living room area is used for the children and the area does not have a smoke detector.”
