Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A fire drill had not been recorded for September. This was corrected during the inspection when a fire drill was completed and the children exited in less than three minutes.”
“The primary caregiver did not have a children's product certification form. This was corrected during the inspection when the primary caregiver completed the form verifying that she has reviewed the recall list.”
“A bottle of Windex was on the desk where children could reach it. This was corrected during the inspection when the Windex was moved out of reach of children.”
“There was dog feces in the backyard where children play. This was corrected during the inspection when the primary caregiver removed and disposed of the feces.”
“Animal feces was observed in the back play areas. This was corrected during the inspection when the feces was picked up.”
“The air conditioning unit did not have a protective screen covering the fan. This was corrected during the inspection when the provider added the protective screen.”
“There were areas in the backyard that poses a risk to the children. The back gate was not secured, was leaning and had exposed nails. The provider has until Friday april 10th to correct the unsecured fence, however the nails were corrected during the inspection. There was a small rocker car with springs that had a metal bar that was exposed presenting a tripping hazards. There were entrapment hazards in the gate where children could place a limb and become injured. This was corrected during the inspection when the provider removed the hazards, and covered the entrapment hazards by adding mulch to the areas.”
“The smoke detector was observed and not mounted. This was corrected when the provider mounted the smoke detector.”
