Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Primary caregiver is missing 9 hours of annual training for his/her evaluation period. Primary caregiver only has 21 hours of training from the required 30 hours available for review.”
“During inspection, it was observed that the operation has a pink oleander plant accessible in the outdoor play area. This plant is known to be poisonous if ingested. Photo taken.”
“The operation has not validated their people list within the past year. The last time their people list was validated was on 3/7/24. This was corrected at inspection after child care regulation inspector validated the people list on behalf of the operation.”
“The operation did not practice a fire drill for the month of April. No documentation of the fire emergency drill was available for review. This was corrected at inspection after a fire drill was practiced to make up for the month of April.”
“The operation failed to timely submit the information required to conduct a renewal background check for an individual (household member) who had a fingerprint check. Last fingerprint check for the individual is dated 4/20/2019. The renewal background check must be submitted within 5 years (date to date) of the previous check for an individual who had a fingerprint check. This was corrected at inspection after primary caregiver completed/submitted a paper Child Care Licensing Request for Background Check form 2971 for the household member.”
“A child's file is missing the health care professional statement. The child does not attend school yet.”
“The primary caregiver had an expired first aid certification on file.”
“The primary caregiver's CPR/First Aid training has expired as of 3/2021 and will need to be renewed.”
“The operation has not renewed the daycare permit as of 4/1/0/22.”
