Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the walkthrough children's nap equipment and children were observed blocking an exit way. This was corrected at inspection when the equpiment was removed and the children were moved to a different area of the classroom.”
“Cleaning spray bottles were not labeled in three classrooms. This was corrected at inspection when the bottles were labeled.”
“Date time and amount of medication has not properly been recorded by center management with administering medication.”
“An infant was observed sleeping in a baby swing without a sleep exception form. This was corrected during inspection when the infant was placed in their crib.”
“An infant that is not able to roll over was observed sleeping on stomach. This was corrected during the inspection the infant was placed on their back.”
“It was observed that a caregiver was sitting in between two separate classrooms, with the caregiver's back facing the assigned classroom. The caregiver was attending to one of the children in the adjoining classrooms.”
“A child was left in the restroom unsupervised. When the caregiver was asked for the whereabouts of the child, the caregiver had no knowledge.”
“A staff member was present at the operation with children without an eligible background check. This was corrected during the inspection the staff member left.”
“An infant was observed in a crib with a stuff toy. This was corrected during inspection the stuff toy was removed.”
“Two infant feeding instruction did not have a dates on them.”
“A spray bottle with a red solution inside was not label. This was corrected during inspection.”
