Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The carbon monoxide detection system is connected to the alarm/smoke detection system. The alarm system has not been tested within the past year by the local alarm company.”
“Two children's files did not have an admission date.”
“A child's file was missing emergency medical information.”
“The day care van was not equipped with a fire extinguisher.”
“There was a planter outside that was cracked and had a sharp edge which children had access to. A photo was taken. This was corrected at inspection when the planter was removed and thrown away.”
