Delaware publishes only visits where a regulation was cited, plus complaint investigations. Visits that found no violations do not appear in the state's data, so a gap between dates here does not mean the program went uninspected. Delaware does not publish a severity weight for its citations.

Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Delaware Office of Child Care LicensingNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“On August 4, 2026, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding not washing soiled sheets and blankets. An investigation was conducted on August 11, 2026. The complaint is substantiated for not washing soiled sheets and blankets because Administrator #1 stated Child #1 s nap equipment and bedding was soiled on Wednesday, July 29th, and not cleaned or sent home to be laundered until Friday, July 31st. Although staff responded to Child #1's immediate personal care needs by cleaning and changing Child #1 after the toileting accident, the soiled condition of the nap equipment was not communicated to the appropriate staff member, and the equipment was not sent home to be laundered until two days after the incident.”
“Ensure child files are complete. One child needs a health appraisal.”
“Ensure outlets are covered and inaccessible to children. The electrical outlet in the Author's Corner did not have a plate over the outlet and the electrical outlet was exposed.”
“Ensure the temperature of the refrigerator is at 41 degrees F or colder. The refrigerator in the kitchen read 44 degrees F.”
“Ensure hand washing for the person who changed the diaper and for the child is done with soap and water immediately after each diaper change. Staff in the Stepping Stones classroom failed to wash her hands and the child's hands after a diaper change. This was discussed and corrected when the staff agreed to comply in the future.”
