Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A 7 month old infant had a lanyard in the crib with them attached to their clothing.”
“There is chipped pained in the cafe. It is within reach of children.”
“A food allergy plan does not have the signature from the parent or health care professional.”
“A water hose was within reach of children. This is on the smaller children's playground ages 2 and 3. A picture was taken.”
“The mulch on the playgrounds was oberved not to be maintained at the proper depth.”
“There were seven expired medications in the stored medication for children. Note: During the inspection they were removed from the stored medications to return to the parents.”
“Multiple staff members did not have required or current first aid and cpr.”
“Documentation of current annual training for SIDS/Shaken baby was not available for two caregivers required to have it.”
“There was no documentation that 3 of 5 staff members completed the annual transportation safety training.”
“In the Cubs II classroom both children were not buckled into their chair while sitting at the table. This was corrected during the inspection.”
“Based on the information gathered a teacher did not show good judgement when she yanked up on a child's arm causing his elbow to be dislocated and causing his arm to be fractured per video.”
“The operational policies do not address applying insect repellent and sunscreen.”
“The operational policies do not address safe sleep.”
