Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the investigation, it was determined that a caregiver failed to maintain appropriate supervision of the children during naptime.”
“It was determined through the course of the investigation that a child was able to leave a classroom unsupervised for up to two minutes before they were found by a caregiver.”
“Parents' rights were not available for review.”
“When reviewing the operational policy, promoting what types of indoor play were not available for review.”
“The emergency preparedness plan did not include information on how caregivers will care for the children during an emergency.”
“A child's hands were not washed after changing the diaper and before snack time.”
“A caregiver was observed pushing a child down by their shoulders to sit them back down in a chair and was also observed aggressively turning the child toward a table while seated.”
“A caregiver stated that they washed dirty toys in the hand washing sink. This was corrected at inspection when a discussion was had with the director and caregiver about keeping the hand sink dedicated in its use and using the secondary sink to wash toys.”
“Four of four infants that are not on table food did not have current infant feeding instructions.”
“A caregiver was observed aggressively grabbing a crayon out of a child's hand.”
“There were seven infants with one caregiver. The specified age group was 12 to 17 months. This was corrected when the second caregiver returned to the classroom.”
“A child was left unsupervised.”
