Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“One infant was observed sleeping in a crib with a stuffed animal. This was corrected when the stuffed animal was removed from the crib.”
“One caregiver was present without an eligible background check. This was corrected when the caregiver left the operation.”
“Information obtained throughout the investigation shows that a caregiver failed to demonstrate good judgement by allowing a child to wear a fleece jacket outside in the summer heat. Information obtained throughout the investigation shows that the operation failed to administer first aid to a child who sustained an injury while in care.”
“Information obtained throughout the investigation shows that the operation failed to notify parents during pick up of a less serious injury.”
“Information obtained throughout the investigation shows that a caregiver yells at children.”
“Two caregivers did not know how many children they were responsible for.”
“The operation did not have a fire current fire inspection.”
“One child's medication was expired.”
“An infant was sleeping in a crib with a pacifier clip attached to the infant's clothing. This was corrected when the pacifier clip was removed from the crib.”
“Ten caregivers were missing their diploma. Four caregivers did not have pre-employment affidavits and three employees did not have notarized affidavits.”
“Five caregivers were short on the required 24 hours of annual training.”
“Administrators in charge in directors absence did not have access to all information need during the inspection, as it was locked and the director had the key.”
“A child had an expired immunization exception.”
“A caregiver hit a child, which is a form of corporal punishment.”
“A caregiver, with direct access to children, was present without a background check eligibility. The caregiver was sent home during the inspection.”
“Operational did not have statement on the promotion of physical activity.”
